Our Powerhood solution is a necessary addition to any professional race car preparation area, both in the pit box and back at the factory. The Powerhoods are suspended above a vehicle and act as a life support machine supplying the following outputs with zero effect on valuable floor space:
- Overhead lighting
- Power sockets for tyre warmers
- Display and control panel for tyre warmers.
- 3 Phase power outputs
- 240V 13A sockets for general electrical appliances.
- 240V 16A sockets for water heaters
- Compressed air outputs (10bar) for wheel guns and/or hand tools
- Integral retractable airline
- Media feeds – TV, Radio
- Driver timing screen with integral cooling fans
- Integrated TV/Monitors

All Powerhoods are designed completely in 3D CAD allowing the client to fully visualise the product before it is manufactured.

Examples of Powerhoods in action:
Renault Formula 1 team have been using Progressive Motorsport Powerhoods for several seasons. It houses the complete tyre warmer system and temperature control box. Entertainment has also been thought of with the addition of a Hi-Fi system with in-built speakers.
